Mercedes, Ferrari and McLaren filled the top of the order, with the top 10 covered by 1.725s and three drivers within a second of the fastest time.

All of the top 10 set their best laps on the soft tyre.

Pierre Gasly completed the most laps, 26.

Practice times don't always tell the full story: teams run different fuel loads and programmes, and the order often changes once qualifying runs begin.
