Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) set the pace in Practice 1 at the Australian Grand Prix, with a best lap of 1:20.267, 0.469s quicker than Lewis Hamilton. Max Verstappen was third, 0.522s off the top.

Ferrari, Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls filled the top of the order, with the top 10 covered by 1.702s and four drivers within a second of the fastest time.
