F1 Pit Wall

Privacy policy

Last updated 8 October 2026

Short version: F1 Pit Wall has no accounts, sets no cookies, shows no ads and doesn't track you across other sites. We count visits in a way that doesn't identify you.

Who we are

F1 Pit Wall (f1pitwall.com) is an independent, non-commercial fan site run by an individual, with visitors from all over the world. For privacy laws that use the term (such as the GDPR), the site's operator is the "controller" of the small amount of information described here. Questions about this policy go to hello@f1pitwall.com.

What we collect

Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't fingerprint your device and doesn't follow you to other sites. We only see totals, such as page views, the site that linked to us, country, browser and device type. We can't identify individual visitors from it.

Hosting and security

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the technical details your browser sends with each request (including your IP address and browser type) so it can deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare handles this under its own privacy policy. We don't keep our own logs of visitors' IP addresses.

Search engine visits

To check that search engines can read the site, we keep a short rolling record of the last 40 requests for our robots.txt and sitemap files: the time, the file requested, the browser or crawler name and the country. It doesn't include IP addresses.

Calendar subscription

If you subscribe to the race calendar, your calendar app fetches it from us now and then. We don't know who has subscribed, and we receive only the standard request details described above.

What's stored on your device

To load faster, the site saves a copy of the latest results in your browser's local storage. It contains race data only, nothing about you, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings. We set no cookies.

Other services

Race results, tyre data and weather forecasts are fetched by our server from the Jolpica F1 API, OpenF1 and Open-Meteo. Your browser never contacts them, so they receive nothing about you. Fonts are served from our own address. Your browser does download the chart library from Cloudflare's public code library (cdnjs.cloudflare.com), which receives standard request details.

Why we process it, where and for how long

The limited processing above is done to run the site, keep it secure and understand how it's used. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in doing those things, which we've kept as light as possible so it doesn't override your interests. Cloudflare operates worldwide, so request details may be handled in countries other than your own. Cloudflare relies on recognised safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Visitor statistics are kept as totals only. The search-engine log holds only the last 40 entries and older ones are overwritten.

What we don't do

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, Switzerland, Brazil, Canada, Australia, or US states such as California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your personal information, and to complain to your local data protection or privacy regulator. Because we hold no information that identifies you, there's normally nothing for us to show you, correct or delete, but we'll gladly look into any request. Email hello@f1pitwall.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Because the site doesn't track you, there's nothing for a browser "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. Both are welcome, and nothing changes when they're on.

Changes

If the site starts collecting anything new, we'll update this page and the date below before it happens.
